Sterile dressing with a perforated adhesive layer made of soft silicone gel that extends beyond the perimeter of the highly absorbent hydrocellular polyurethane foam pad. This facilitates secure application without adhesive tape or a secondary dressing and allows for gentle removal of the dressing.
The structure is completed by the outermost layer of the dressing, which consists of a double-layer nonwoven polyurethane fabric with antibacterial, antiviral, and waterproof properties, as well as significant breathability, and which acts as a barrier against external contamination.
The combination of polyurethane foam with the soft silicone gel adhesive layer and the outer film made of double polyurethane non-woven foil makes Euroderm foam plus silicone excellent in liquid handling, maintaining the ideal moist environment for the healing process.
It conforms perfectly to the wound bed and the different anatomical sites of the body with excellent comfort for the patient.
In addition, the thickness of the foam creates the cushioning effect that reduces pressure on the lesion and counteracts any frictional forces ensuring vertical absorption of fluids.
