Sterile non-adhesive Non-Woven Fabric dressing, consisting of pure, highly absorbent and conformable sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) fibers and two-dimensional CMC reinforcement fibers. It absorbs exudate upwards and does not allow it to spread to the sides. It does not release exudate on the wound bed. It can be cut without altering its liquid absorption and handling capabilities. Does not laminate or deform after absorption of liquids; It can be removed in one piece, without the need for irrigation, without the risk of fiber release.
The dressing has a resistance to wet breakage increased by at least 9 times compared to Eurocell hydro.
Once the wound exudate is absorbed, Carboxymethylcellulose instantly forms a biocompatible soft gel that helps maintain a moist environment that promotes the wound healing process and facilitates the removal of devitalized tissue, without damaging the newly formed tissue.
Eurocell Hydro Extra avoids maceration of the periwound skin under compression.
-
THE DRESSING EXHIBITS A WET TENSILE STRENGTH AT LEAST 9 TIMES GREATER THAN EUROCELL HYDRO
-
VERTICAL ABSORPTION / VERTICAL WICKING
-
HYDROACTIVE DRESSING
-
UPON ABSORPTION OF WOUND EXUDATE, THE CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE INSTANTLY FORMS A SOFT, BIOCOMPATIBLE GEL THAT HELPS MAINTAIN A MOIST ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO THE WOUND HEALING PROCESS AND FACILITATES THE REMOVAL OF DEVITALIZED TISSUE, WITHOUT DAMAGING NEWLY FORMED TISSUE.
-
ABSORBS EXUDATE VERTICALLY, PREVENTING LATERAL DIFFUSION / LATERAL SPREAD
-
CAN BE CUT TO SIZE WITHOUT ALTERING ITS FLUID ABSORPTION AND MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES
-
CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEBRIDEMENT / REMOVAL OF NECROTIC WOUND TISSUE
-
ATRAUMATIC REMOVAL
-
CAN BE REMOVED IN A SINGLE PIECE, WITHOUT THE NEED FOR IRRIGATION, WITH NO RISK OF FIBER SHEDDING
-
PHTHALATE-FREE
-
LATEX-FREE
- Hydration of Dry or Necrotic Wounds Softens dry, necrotic, or sloughy tissue, promoting autolytic debridement (natural breakdown of dead tissue).
